I have been posting here for a few weeks now and i already feel like I cant live without this Forum. Seriously how DID people get through all this before the internet!!!
So Ill tell you my story as briefly as I can.
I met my darling husband Dec 2006 online, not through a dating service but just through a mutual acquaintance that we both knew from stickam(a video chat room site) where we both just liked to hang out and talk to people.
We both had no interest at ALL in relationships at the moment for our own reasons but we became fast friends.. REALLY fast actually after about a week it was like we'd known each other for years with all the talking we did on stickam, skype and other forums. At about the 3 week mark I confessed my love for him and he returned the compliment.
We met for the first time in person in July 2007 when I went to canada to see him. After that he visited me in Pennsylvania multiple times over the next few months and in early 2008 he came to the states to stay with me.
By this point we both knew we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives and it was just kind of understood that we had to get married for immigration purposes.. in actuality we dont have any interest in the concept of marriage. If we were both from the same country we would never have done it but since it would be incredibly difficult to be together without it we went ahead and tied the knot in June 2008.
We moved to Canada in January 2009 and i intend to file for PR in a couple months. As soon as we have the money (we are using a lawyer) and all the forms we need.
I must admit I am terrified by this process and by the prospect that the final decision of wether i get to spend my life with my true love is in the hands of someone i never have, and may never meet.
Two things ill apologize in advance for is that Im not good at being brief, and i use "..." WAY to much!
I love you all! Lets get through this together!
