MY TURN! HAHAHAHA
I DID it! Finally got the app out! I can't believe it. Its been such a long confusing process but its finally out the door. So many of you have saved my life. I'm so grateful to all of you. Without this forum I would have had to spend a fortune and a half on a lawyer. I'm watching all your cases too! I hope we all get our happy beginnings very soon! Cheers
Hooray! Isn't it such a huge sigh of relief when you finally get that paperwork sent out? I'm wishing you the best of luck and that you have a speedy, smooth process :D
Congrats Rene!!! I wish you the best too!!! :) Now a lot of sitting around waiting VERY patiently with the rest of us. :)

And dancing like this, if you're me: Troll
Good luck :)
Starting to get paranoid. I still haven't heard anything and I can't sign into ECAS. It seems like everyone else is hearing something sooner than this. When should I start panicking?
Rene, look at my timeline and you can see it was over a month till I heard so it's coming!!! :) Some got theirs quicker than me too!!! :)
No need to panic. I know what it's like to compare your timeline to other people's, but try to relax and not worry about it. It's been just over a month, so you'll likely hear something any day. I think that 4 - 6 weeks is pretty common.
It seems like they go through waves, and you were likely at the beginning of a new wave if that makes sense lol!

It's as if they say okay.. lets get May & June files done this week, GO TEAM! lol...

Keep your chin up Rene .. I know it's just words but hey on the bright side you wake up every morning beside the person you love and the person who loves you .. that's a gift in itself.

Personally I'm thinking that the CIC should add a disclaimer on the applications ... hope this makes you smile :)

"Please be advised that applicants involved in this process may experience the following; lack of sleep, too much sleep, over-eating, under-eating, mind wandering, bouts of tears, rage and eventually happiness, eye strain, back strain & finger cramps associated with the constant need to keep up on the status of fellow applicants, checking e-mails and the ever elusive ECAS system, butterflies, headaches and in some cases the overwhelming need to enter into a self induced coma via any means possible. In general, this process is guaranteed to stress you to the limit."

Thats me, sick of waiting.

Try not to worry too much I dont think you have much reason to doubt that youve been approved.

Im so nervous that our app got lost in the mail somehow.. or lost in the office... I jsut want to hear ANYTHING to know that they have it!

I also have real reason to wonder if hell be approved as my sponsor... a few days after we mailed in the app he lost his job. also he tried to apply for disability benefits and since it takes a long time to get into the system they referred him to "Ontario works" to help us out in the mean time... so we applied for that thinking it was an extension of the disability program but then found out it was WELFARE! AAAAHHHHHH! so since sending in the app he applied for welfare lol. shit shit shit. we tried to withdrawal the app for welfare but it wasnt an option. we weren't approved anyway and havent received any money... but i dont know if CIC will see this and if they will care or not.. i dont even know if they have our app, or if i will have to start a new app from scratch? my head is about to explode.
