Hello. I am in the process of applying for a work permit after having received a positive Labour Market Opinion. I will need to get a medical examination done in the United States and was wondering how long would I need to wait before the actual work permit is processed?

If I do have to wait, could I still enter Canada as a visitor?

Work permits take 4-6 weeks if you have all of the necessary documentation. If they do not have what they need, it can take a very, very long time. As far as traveling into Canada, that would be fine as long as you have the appropriate documents to cross the border!
