How pathetic. I applied for citizenship 16 months ago and I have not even got a test date! It took them 12 months just to send my file to the local CIC. When ever I call CIC i get the same old crap! So I faxed my local CIC today.
My one year is in a couple of weeks, and they just now opened the envelope.
For future reference, I wanted to ask a question here.
Is it possible to send in the Citizenship application early? I mean, say if you know you will meet the requirements in the next 6 months, can you send it in knowing they won't even open it until well after you've met the requirements?
I'm guessing not but curious!
no you cant sent it early. It must be signed at least 1 day after you meet the requirements or they will return the application.
It would be a nice idea since it takes them a year to open the freaking envelope.
