Hi. I am a Canadian male, 50+ yrs, in love with an American gal 50+. I am still married, but divorce is being finalized. We hope to marry, but have to wait (obviously) until divorce is finalized. My GF resides in the US at the moment, but we\'re thinking about having her come up here permanently until that happens. She has been up here for a couple of months at a time, then goes back (can work for her US employer via internet). Are we better to get married in Canada, or should we go back to the US and do it? Do the US and Canada border people talk to each other or have records of our crossings that they share with each other? Canadian Border Services have told us that they do not like cross-border relationships as they are worried that Americans are trying to take advantage of us \"poor innocent Canadian citizens\" haha, by using our health care and social welfare systems. How can we make this easier?
