So we received the spousal approval in April and our file was transferred to Buffalo in May. When checking online it says "in process". All good. But-----
Does anyone or can anyone tell me how long they waited for a CLEAN spouse permanent residence application? By clean I mean no criminal, no DUI'S, no children, no previous marriages, Canadian Husband, American Wife, Both employed. We paid all fees upfront, had medical, both state and FBI prints cleared, Is it closer to 4 months? 5 months? 6 or more? I am a planner and trying to plan when a good time to land or travel out of the US is killing me. Thanks for any help or any personal timelines.
It took me around 4 months or so all clean, but wife is canadian. But and a big but, you can't really count on anything. CIC I've seen people that had medicals or clearances be misplaced that had caused delays. I know how it is to feel like your life is on hold and just being anxious to move forward with your life.
Buffalo has a
posted processing timeline of 4-10 months (from receipt at Buffalo) for spousal permanent resident applications. I've seen them go as fast as 17 days and as long as over a year. You just never really know, unfortunately - but a "clean" application with everything included upfront
should be expected to process at the shorter end of the timeline.
Thanks, I was hoping someone had a date from their own personal story. I'm hoping for a short one as we all our :-) I see on the site that it's 4 to 10 months but someone has to have an idea how fast they are processing like people know the FBI checks were taking 10-12 weeks. Thanks for the info though.
Just got my request for my passport!!! Quick! Very excited but now it looks like I'll be doing my landing up in the Yukon in September.

Passport was mailed last week so now just waiting to get it back. Will be doing my official "landing" in September up in the Yukon on my drive back from Alaska. Thanks for all the congrats and good fast vibes are out to all who are waiting. :-)
That's so great!!! My isn't even showing processed yet and our sponsorship was approved 6/21/10 and not even showing in process yet :( but I am still positive. :) Just feeling like my file is on the desk of someone who just took a great vacation and will be rested when they come back and they are the fastest processor!!! ;) That's what I like to believe. ;)
