Here is our entire timeline, start to finish. Things took as long as they did (medical exam, clearances, sending app out) because my father was very ill and almost constantly in hospital until his death on 12/18/09. Then my first set of prints got rejected, then when we had everything ready, my sponsor got laid off. A lot of things either went wrong or stood in our way, preventing us from sending our application in a more timely manner, but what matters is that it got sent and I\'m here now :) New applicants: Don\'t feel secure in sending off clearances that are already expired and a medical exam that is set to expire during the process. I think I was lucky in that regard that they didn\'t want new ones.

I know they say ecas is updated on Tuesday, but I got my sponsorship update on a Thursday.. so don't be surprised if you hear something at another time in the week :)

I got mine on a Sunday of all days!

I just received the letter in the mail that my case was opened on August 27th I now have a number and everything, hooray!

Not sure whether to be excited or scared to death of what could come next. I'm scared of the unknown, but I guess we all are. Putting this in God's hands and hoping that the person/people reviewing our case are fair-minded human beings.

They'll probably contact me about my state clearance, which I received in January and probably isn't any good anymore. But we'll see.

Hubby got his letter Sep 1st, dated Aug 27th :D
He's got a case number and stickers. YAY!
