Full Version: Processing time from AIP to landing - inland spousal/common-law

Hi Members,

There has always been discussions and inquiries on how long it takes to finalize a case once approval in principle has been granted. Since there is no standard timeframe given by CIC, I thought it may be useful to start a thread with a poll so that it may help those who still has an inland PR application in process.

For those who has completed their inland PR application already, please take the poll and select the time it took from AIP to your landing interview. Admins may want to sticky this thread so that members can find it easily.

Keep in mind that numerous factors will affect the processing time between AIP and landing, including:

- Speed of Background/CSIS check
- workload/delay at the local CIC office

So I would suggest members use the information as general guidelines only.
oops...I do I correct my selection?
Admin? Any way to correct polls?
yes there is. What did you want changed, robert?
make my time to 10-11 Months...

Thanks
Let me post so I can see my timeline in my signature - hee hee!

OK, a month and a couple days, so I put 2 months. (Of course, I didn't have a set appointment to land; I could do it any time after I got my decision made letter. I did it the first day I had access to a car.)
Okay so I was able to edit the #, but it didn't give me an option to move your name.... so the totals are right just the name not in the right spot....

*scratches head*
make more make more! Bliss I like these!! :)
LOL

Alex you're too cute! haha
I voted 2 months but I received AIP + DM on the same date and the 2 months were just waiting for the landing appointment to be scheduled so I'm not sure if that counts.
Hi MayaM,

Ya, that counts.
My husband landed 1 month and 2 days after AIP & DM. So I put him under the 1 month selection since it was closer to that then the 2 months.

I agree - even though I can't vote cuz I'm not inland. This was a great idea, wongn! Besides, polls are just plain fun . . . like smilies!! Happyguy
