Hello ALL,

I think it would be real cool if we had a suggestion box here at this forum... where peoples ideas could also be incorporated to the wesite ... you got something great here .... or maybe i am missing it and dont know where it is ... anyone???
I was thinking about adding one forum under the "Site Related" category called "Site problems and suggestions", wherein people could post any problems they're having on the site as well as make any suggestions.

That's on my list of things to do :D
Sounds good!!!
Very cool... thats sounds real good ... this way great suggestions wont get lost in the other big topics
Well, I'm completely new here, but I'm obsessing about immigration these days so I've spent more time than I shuld here already since yesterday and I was just thinking that maybe having a different forum for in-Canada and out of Canada application could be good. At least for me, I find myself ignoring the in-Canada stuff since what I'm going through is out of Canada... I don't know if others do the same.

It's always good to be informed about both, because knowledge gives you power in terms of dealing with your own issues with CIC - but the differences between inland and outside processes can also be very confusing for people just coming into this whole scenario. So this idea definitely merits some serious consideration. Having almost made the mistake of filing an inland ap - thinking I had to when I actually didn't - I'm the first to jump at the chance to challenge people to understand their options before they submit that ap. Maybe, just by having more info readily available that distinquishes the differences between the two, we can better educate people in regards to how to interpret their own situation to their best advantage. I'll be looking into whether we can somehow incorporate this idea. The challenge is always about trying to figure out how to incorporate all the different elements into a format that makes sense in a discussion forum. Thanks for your suggestion.
I understand your position and the forum is still great without it being separated. But about encouraging people to know their options, it seems to me, again, that it would be less confusing if right up-front there were two different forums. I imagine that people who make the mistake of filing the wrong thing do it cause they didn't even know there was something else. So separating it makes them ask the question "Which should I be doing?" up-front. But the forum is fine as it is. I hate to be suggesting stuff in my first posts, makes it seem more like critiquing. That's not how I want it to come off. I just thought of that and figured I'd contribute to the suggestion box.
What about a "Post Landed" Category Forum for those who have recently been granted PR or life "after" PR.. lol
I agree with candicesj about dividing inland and outland. What about a sticky thread in family class with suggested naming conventions for threads. It might be easier to find what you are looking for if the threads related to inland started with "in-<topic>" and outland started with "out-<topic>"
I am thinking it's going to get pretty crowded here now that immigration.ca is down.
I hope ppl realize not all of us are on here all the time, but still have quality answers. I really hope those asking have the patience, cuz it's really worth it to listen to those who have experience.
perhaps set up timeline pages for each country as well as individual timelines.

I'm just thinking of the insane 250 pages of islamabad timeline from immigration.ca that kept dominating the first page of the forum.
Anyone know how long it's going to be down? Thanks
architeutus - we've been discussing just that here.
