HI All
Thought I'd introduce ourselves finally! This is SMiles and FlyCanada living in beautiful Squamish, BC. We met almost 10 years ago and got "serious" about 4 years ago when SMiles came back from his first tour in IRAQ. HE has since retired from the US Army after 23 years in and we are now "living" in Canada together although SMiles isn't here on any sort of visa. We are working on the immigration papers and are about to submit everything. We plan to make an "outside" application so SMiles can work in the US or overseas if he chooses.
We are appling as Commom-Law but plan on getting married sometime in the future when the time/place is right. We'll probably get married on Vacation somewhere :) this winter. Nothing big, but the party when we get home will be great!!!
We have a few more questions to ansere before we send everything in, then we play the waiting game! I will keep you updated on our status!

Here's my update...
Application is in Buffalo and we are waiting patiently (?) for any responce. Smiles and I recently got engages so we are making wedding plans for this winter, but date/location not confirmed yet! I received a beautiful 100% Canadian Polar Bear diamond on Oct. 5, 10 years from the date we met!
That's if for now, but will keep you posted.
