Simply wanted to let off steam, I cannot take this anymore.
I was supposed to have my third interview back in July this year, two days before that I received a call from the embassy in Moscow advising me that the interview is being postponed for indefinite period of time. Guess what, after nearly five months, I'm still WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The last bit of info, which we were able to squeeze out of the CSIS people was that they still required this interview with me. They said it was the final thing, but when the heck is it going to happen?!
This whole immigration this really bugs me now!
are they having a hard time getting someone there to do the interview? i heard that if its in a country that doesnt have regular interviewers then it could take some time, and with christmas comming up the wait time may only get longer, hang in there it will happen when its suppose to happen right?
Yes, as far as we understand they've got some staff problems, it is difficult for them to find someone to send through to this country. I agree with approaching holidays things would not improve, just will have further delays. It is frustrating to wait and wait and wait
Thanks, tamee, this is wise to put it all in this way.. It will happen when it is suppose to happen. I simply wish those immigration people weren't relying on some crystal balls, when they deal with peoples' lives..I wish there was a strict system, which works and can be reliable,instead of this chaos even at CSIS office.

Goodness sake they still have not gotten back to you ... how bad is that ... it must be really fustrating ... how is swift taking it ... It must be hard on him as well... It really sucks that no one can do anything about it ... Have you got a fresh set of CAIPS ... Goodness I wish I could help somehow but I dont know how other than to Pray ... I will see if I can pump some info from my Prof again... hey maybe he knows something ... i have not talked to him in a long time since my split from my ex. Hang in there guys ... and let of some steam ... thats what we are all hear for... to listen and to suport ...

No, we did not get the new CAIPS notes yet, I simply do not see any difference in getting it. We'll probably see some next bring forward date, but this will be it, since the file is processed by CSIS people. My e-cas still shows 'the interview is scheduled for December 8th 2006', which is ridiculous.
It is hard to add anything else to this process, the system DOES NOT WORK!

I spoke to my Prof again .... he says that as far as he can see there is nothing CSIS wise in Russia right now until Feb 2008... thats what he can see... his suggestion is to talk to your MP here in Canada ASAP. They can fight for you here on swifts behalf ... CSIS will not send anyone in unless there are more complains... explain your situation to the MP. show them that you have had no comunication for at least 6 months.. he says if you dont do anything they will just let it slide... get a lawyer if you have to ... swift has family out here in Canada correct... could they not help out by talking and asking on his behalf....

This is what we felt too, that probably they sent out those teams for interviewing only twice a year, and since we've missed the one in July, the next one will most likely be only in February. This was the time, when I had my interview with their people last year.
To be honest, we try to distract our minds as much as possible from this immigration thing, since we've contacted different MPs, wrote several letters, which led to no effect. However it still bugs me, this was the reason why I wrote on this forum again. I'll have a word with my husband regarding another MP contact.
