Hi all, Cuss

I found this forum and wish if you can help me. below is my summarized story.
I came with my family to vancouver on Immigration Skilled Worker visa on early Dec. 2007 and after checking out from Airport and stamping our passports, I went to Immigration and they asked me for further exam till now.CryConfused they took our passports, my laptop and phone and they say they want to do Security check on me because they have some Security concerns and they have asked me to come and I met up with Security Intelligent agency and I met up and in the meeting they said that you were associated with some guys that are "not the nicest guys" while I was in the USA (he means fundamentalists or muslims who show sympathy with Islamic terrorist groups). I just have been with them andI did not know that and the USA FBI and other agencies met up with me and they told me I am clean and innocent

First, I was reporting to Airport office where I go each week Confused to the Immigration officer and few weeks back they moved my file to Enforcement Officer to report twice a month :happyguy:to Immigration downtown Vancouver office.

I got FBI Police clearance from USA TWICE (in 2005 and 2007) and from Saudi and all my papers are correct and true. If I had any problems or did anything wrong why USA did not capture me or put me in jail.

I hired a lawyer and paid more than 2000 CAD but did not do anything... and he said, you have national security concerns and he said they told him by phone they are leaning toward inadmissibility report.. ME... I can not believe this.

I sent a letter to Enforcement Officer and he will meet with me this week and ask more questions. Should I accept this or wait for my lawyer which will take 1000 CAD for this.

Now, I am sure 100% I am innocent and clean, but not sure why CSBA and CSIS are doing this to me. I was very cooperative with them and will be.... It is 3 months and they did not land me yet but said, if everything is ok then they will land me even if my visa expires.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???? Grouphug

Thx
One Track Mind
I think my first move in your situation would be to contact the media. Probably a show like the Fifth Estate on CBC: http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/contact.html

I'm not sure how much they can do to help, but they can at least put pressure on the agencies involved to come clean about why you've been flagged.
I would suggest a lawyer rather than the media.

media will be too slow in sorting out the details and if the government has any security concern, they will get no-where. Public pressure takes a long time.

$1,000 seems like a lot but it is about 3-4 hours of a lawyers time.

Thank you anitsirK for your suggestion. I think I should wait more for this, since they are doing their investigation. I can wait for few more weeks.

I am confident that I have not done anything wrong. Plus, I did not lie in my application. I will contact my lawyer again and see what she say.

Thank you Joohliya for your response.
